I’m so glad you found it helpful!! It’s addicting once you start mocking things up haha.

Fascinating. Thanks for breaking down the steps. I’d give it a try for sure!

Glad you found it helpful! Let me know what you think of the process—I’m now addicted to creating mockups of different wishlist items in my house. 😂

Love hearing your process! Going to use some of these ideas as I redecorate some rooms this summer!

Let me know how it works for you! I’m addicted to doing these renderings now…😂

I'm trying this but the response I get from Chat GPT is: "I can't edit images directly, but I can guide you on how to do it! You can use photo editing software like Photoshop or online tools like Canva or Fotor to easily remove the ladders."

My steps are:

1. open https://chatgpt.com/ and enter the prompt "I’m an interior designer making a professional rendering of a room."

Then I uploaded a picture of my living room with the prompt "I am designing the living room in this picture. Can you remove the ladders on the floor and leave everything else the same?"

To which it responded "I can't edit images directly, but I can guide you on how to do it! You can use photo editing software like Photoshop or online tools like Canva or Fotor to easily remove the ladders.

Here’s a quick outline of the steps to remove the ladders:

Open the Image in Editing Software: Import the image into Photoshop or any other photo editor.

Select the Ladders: Use the selection tool (like the Lasso Tool in Photoshop) to outline the ladders.

Use Content-Aware Fill (Photoshop): If you're using Photoshop, go to Edit > Fill, then choose "Content-Aware." Photoshop will try to fill the selected area with surrounding textures.

Clone Tool (if needed): If the fill isn’t perfect, you can use the Clone Stamp Tool to sample nearby areas and cover any remnants of the ladders.

Touch Up: Smooth any rough edges and ensure the floor looks seamless.

Let me know if you need any more detailed advice on the process!"

I'm stumped. Is this because I didn't pay for the upgraded chatGPT?

Oh no! Hmm yes, I did do this with a paid subscription, so that may be the issue?

The only other thing I could think of would be tweaking your prompt to have it say something like, “Create an exact copy of this image, but remove the ladders on the floor. Change nothing else.” So basically, asking it to create a new image rather than editing one. Not sure if that’ll do the trick!

One other pointer would be: if you’re not sure the prompt is exactly right, you can ask ChatGPT to write the prompt for you. So something like, “Let’s imagine I wanted to upload an image of my living room and then ask ChatGPT to help me make visual changes to the image—namely, removing the ladders that are there. Can you provide a detailed example of a prompt you would use to get the end result that I’m looking for?” Maybe it would provide you with something to help!
